We are happy to welcome you and your family to Wuerzburg Elementary/Middle School and to the new and exciting adventures and experiences that await you here. This year marks the beginning of our school as an elementary and middle school, as well as our last year of operation. Even though there will be much concentration on the process of base closure and reassignments, our experienced staff of educators is dedicated to keeping their main focus on providing your child(ren) with the best educational opportunity available. We recognize and promote the development in each child of an attitude of self-respect and self-worth. We will also provide a variety of opportunities for students to form meaningful and responsible relationships with their peers and adults.
This handbook has been prepared to share with you the many policies, regulations, procedures and services in our school. Please keep this handbook readily available throughout the school year. Many of your questions have been anticipated and are discussed in the handbook. Because this is the closing year for our school, there will be changes or adjustments to our normal routine/services. Please know that we will keep you informed of changes as they occur and are readily available to clarify any school matter. The telephone numbers listed for key staff members will prove helpful do not hesitate to use them.
Close cooperation
between school and home is essential to promote the best interests of the
child. You are encouraged to visit the school and become an integral part of
this process. We challenge you to become involved, volunteer in the school, and
show your support for your childs education. Great things happen when there is
a meaningful relationship between home and school.
We look forward to meeting and working with all of you during the 2007/2008 School Year.
